Suckura

Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 October 2026

Suckura is in closed beta. The personal data it holds is what you give the app when you create an account and use it, and what you typed into the waitlist box or the collector survey. This page says exactly what that is, who touches it, and how to make it go away.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Dante Rodríguez Milán, trading as Suckura, based in Spain.

Contact for anything on this page, including exercising your rights: hello@suckura.app.

There is no Data Protection Officer. Suckura is a one-person project and does not carry out large-scale or systematic monitoring, so it is not required to appoint one.

2. What is collected, why, and on what basis

DataWhyLegal basisKept for
App account: your email address, your password (stored only as a salted hash), an optional username and profile picture, your display currency, and which version of this policy and the Beta Terms you accepted, and when. To create and run your account. Performance of a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Until you delete your account, which removes it immediately. No separate backups are kept.
App activity: the cards on your watchlist, your price alerts and their targets, and your notification settings (quiet hours, time zone, profit thresholds, muted cards). To show them to you and check prices against them. Performance of a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Until you remove them or delete your account.
Collection: the cards you add to your collection and how many you hold; and, only if you enter them, what you paid for each purchase, what you sold copies for, the fees on a sale, and the dates. To show your collection and work out what it is worth and what you have gained or lost on it. Performance of a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Until you remove them or delete your account.
Push token: an identifier for your device, only if you turn notifications on. To deliver the notifications you asked for. Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, given through your phone's permission prompt and the in-app switch. Until you log out or delete your account.
App server logs: IP address, the request made and a timestamp, logged automatically when the app talks to its server. Keeping the service working and stopping abuse. Legitimate interest in a working, non-abused service — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. As long as the host retains its logs.
Usage records: when you last used the app, which days you used it, and how many times features were used across all users (those counts are not linked to you). The badges you have earned, shown only to you. Knowing whether the app is used and keeping it working within its data-provider limits. Legitimate interest in running and improving the service — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Until you delete your account; the anonymous counts are kept.
Update credits (optional): your username next to a fix you reported, in the app's News feed, only while "Credit me in update notes" is on in your profile. Thanking testers publicly for the problems they found. Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Turn the switch off at any time and your name disappears from every past note. While the switch is on; removed when you delete your account.
Waitlist: your email address, and which language the page was in when you signed up. To confirm your signup, send occasional updates while Suckura is being built, and tell you when it launches. Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Until the launch email goes out, then deleted within 3 months. Sooner if you ask.
Survey: your answers about what you collect, where you buy and sell, your grading habits, spending band, region, and any free-text comments. To decide which features get built first. Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Up to 24 months, then deleted or irreversibly aggregated.
Beta list: your email address, only if you ticked the beta box and typed one in. To offer you a place in the closed beta. Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Until the beta ends, or 12 months, whichever comes first.
Referral: a random 12-character code attached to your response, and the code of the response that introduced you, if you arrived through someone's share link. To set the order in which responses are read when beta places are picked. Your consent — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Deleted with the response it belongs to.
Technical: IP address, browser and timestamp, logged automatically by the hosting provider when the page is served. Keeping the site up and stopping spam submissions. Legitimate interest in a working, non-abused site — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. As long as the host retains its logs (roughly 30 days).

The app never asks for your name. Your password is stored only as a salted hash, so nobody — Suckura included — can read it.

The survey does not ask for your name, and you can complete and send it without giving an email address at all. If you leave the beta box unticked, nothing in your answers identifies you directly.

A referral code identifies a response, not a person. It is random, it is not derived from anything you typed, and someone who follows your link learns nothing about you from it. Responses are read in order of how many people each link brought in, and who is invited is then decided by a person reading them.

Nothing here is used for automated decision-making or profiling under Art. 22 GDPR. Your data is never sold, rented, or handed to advertisers.

3. Who else handles it

Suckura uses a small number of service providers, which act as processors on its instructions:

Nobody else receives your data, other than where the law requires it.

4. Transfers outside the EEA

Supabase and Render store the app's data in the European Union (Ireland and Frankfurt), though both are US companies. Cloudflare, Resend, Google and Expo are US-based and may process your data in the United States. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and on the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses otherwise. You can ask for details of the safeguards that apply at the address in section 1.

5. Third-party resources this site loads

None. Every font and script on this site is served from suckura.app itself, so your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any other content network to display a page. The only provider involved in serving the site is its host, Cloudflare, listed in section 3.

6. Cookies and local storage

There is no third-party analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party cookies on this site or in the app — which is why you are not being asked to dismiss a cookie banner. The app's own server keeps the basic usage records listed in section 2; they are never shared or sold, and are deleted with your account.

The only thing stored in your browser is a localStorage entry holding your language choice (EN or ES), so the page stays in your language on your next visit. It never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.

In the app, your phone keeps your login token (only if you choose "Remember this device") and cached card prices, so screens load faster. Logging out removes the token; deleting your account removes both.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR and Spain's Ley Orgánica 3/2018 (LOPDGDD) you can:

Email hello@suckura.app and it will be handled within one month. There is no form to fill in and no reason you need to give. Every email Suckura sends you will also carry a one-click unsubscribe link.

You can also delete your app account yourself: in the app, open Profile → Delete account. Your account, watchlist, price alerts, notification settings and collection (including any purchases and sales you recorded) are deleted immediately. Survey answers and waitlist signups are kept separately; email the address above to delete those.

If you are not happy with the response, you can complain to the Spanish supervisory authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos — www.aepd.es, C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid.

8. Children

Suckura is not aimed at children under 14, the age of digital consent in Spain. If you believe a child has submitted their data or created an account, write to the address above and it will be deleted.

9. Security

The site and the app's server use HTTPS, app passwords are stored only as salted hashes, third-party scripts are pinned with subresource integrity, and access to submissions is limited to the controller's own accounts, which are protected by two-factor authentication. No system is perfect, but nothing is stored that is not listed in section 2.

10. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it, and the people the change affects are told before it takes effect: anyone on the waitlist by email, when the change concerns the waitlist; app users in the app, which asks them to accept the new version the next time they open it.

Tu consentimiento — art. 6.1.a RGPD.
Tu consentimiento — art. 6.1.a RGPD.
Tu consentimiento — art. 6.1.a RGPD.
Tu consentimiento — art. 6.1.a RGPD.
Tu consentimiento — art. 6(1)(a) RGPD.
